President - Lenny Gimbel

BIO

Lenny began in this business at 14 years old. Although he was planning to become an aeronautical engineer, he entered the business full time after graduating High School, when his father had a heart attack.

He continued his education by attending Queens College at night, taking accounting courses. A tour of duty with the Army interrupted his college education and caused the only break in his long window coverings career. "I was discharged on a Friday in October 1956. I had half of Saturday and all of Sunday off and took over the business Monday morning."

Success secret: "All upper management is close family, and service rendered through family teamwork produces optimum results."
